Professor Marc Macias-Fauria

Marc joined the University of Cambridge in 2024. More information here.

Whilst at the University of Oxford, I was a NERC Fellow and Associate Professor in Physical Geography at the School of Geography and the Environment, Oxford University, and Fellow of St. Peter's College, Oxford.

My research is directed at understanding the interactions between physical and biological systems over spatial scales ranging from study sites to continents and temporal scales ranging from decades to millennia, with a focus on macroecology. This involves research in palaeoclimatology and palaeoecology, as well as the use of large georeferenced databases.
